Another project in our roster of affordable but quality high-rise living is the upcoming Avida Towers San Lorenzo. True to Avida’s tagline, “make the city smaller”, the Towers are located close to retail stores, commercial establishments, banks, offices, schools, churches, hospital and practically any establishment. Taking advantage of this strategic location, the project features only a few retail shops for the residents’ immediate needs located on a separate single-storey structure.

Ingress and egress are provided at both Chino Roces and Estacion Streets for efficient circulation. Each tower has its own covered drop-off area that directly leads to the elevator lobby. Ample parking slots are provided in the two floors of its three-level Podium; the topmost level features several amenities such as swimming pool, jogging paths, clubhouse, playground, and landscaped areas.

Residential units of studio, 1BR and 2BR types are designed for compact but functional usage of space. For flexibility, small units can be combined to form bigger units as market dictates. All units are configured such that each one has sufficient natural lighting and ventilation. The towers are also angled to maximize view of Makati skyline and Antipolo and Manila Bay. Selected units have pocket gardens. Balconies are also provided at specified units.

With these considerations, the towers’ façade has an interesting play of elevation, complemented by pylons or vertical fins that highlight the verticality of the towers. One tower rises 27 levels and the other at 31 storeys. The trellis feature at the crown of each tower is a simple but elegant and tropical design that is appropriate for this project.
